Head Faith By Kenneth E. Hagin  “The other disciples therefore said unto him (Thomas), We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not...

More Than Conquerors By Kenneth E. Hagin

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Rom. 8:37).

If God’s Word had just told us we were conquerors, it would have been enough, but it tells us that we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ.

Rather than saying, “I’m defeated,” rise up and say what the Bible says about you. Say, “I am a conqueror!”

It may not seem to you that you are a conqueror, but your confession of it because of what you see in God’s Word will create the reality of it in your life.

Sooner or later you will become what you confess!

You will not be afraid of any circumstances, if you make the right confession.

You will not be afraid of any disease, if you make the right confession.

You will not be afraid of any conditions, if you make the right confession.

You will face life fearlessly, as a conqueror!

Confession: In all things I am more than a conqueror through Him that loves me. I am not afraid of any circumstances. I am not afraid of any disease. I am not afraid of any condition. I face life fearlessly, a conqueror! I am a conqueror! In fact, I am more than a conqueror!

Mountain Mover By Billy Joe Daugherty

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11:22-23)

You have the God-kind of faith. The moment you were born again, you received “a measure of faith” (Rom. 12:3). In other places Jesus referred to faith as “a mustard seed.” (Matt. 17:20.) The faith you have now is capable of moving any mountain in your life. The “God-kind” of faith resides in you now.

Jesus said, “Whoever says to this mountain.” This means you are included since you are a “whoever.” You can speak directly to the mountain and address it with authority. If the mountain is strife in the home or business, say, “Strife, in the name of Jesus, I command you to leave this place now.” Then lift your hands and begin to thank God for removing the problem, or the mountain.

When you know your authority, you will believe that what you say will come to pass. You have this assurance because Jesus regained authority over the devil through His death and resurrection. (Matt. 28:18-20.) You expect your words to be fulfilled because of your covenant with God. Doubt has no place in you, for faith has flooded your heart.

You were born again to rule and reign in this earth under the authority of Jesus Christ. (Rom. 5:17.) Expect things to change as you speak, for God has given you the power to move mountains.

DECLARATION OF FAITH

I am a mountain mover. Jesus lives in me. I have His nature, His name, His Word, His Spirit, and His life. I believe in my heart that what I say with my mouth comes to pass. I have what I say because I am led by the Spirit. No obstacle can stand against me. They are all removed in Jesus’ name.

Sorrow Not! By Kenneth Copeland

“The redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and grief shall flee away” (Isa. 51:11).

Did you know that as a believer you’ve been redeemed from the curse of grief and sorrow by the blood of Jesus Christ? You don’t have to put up with them any more than you have to put up with sin or sickness or disease.

God started teaching me about this personally several months before my mother went home to be with Him in August 1988. Every time He’d show me something about it, I’d put it into practice. (You ought to do that with anything God is teaching you. Start practicing it now, and you can walk in it when the time comes!)

So, eight and a half months before my mother left, I began standing against grief and sorrow. I made a decision to “sorrow not.” Immediately the devil began to attack my emotions.

But I’d say, “No. I won’t receive that. I take authority over these feelings in Jesus’ Name. I’ve given my body as a sacrifice well-pleasing unto the Lord, and I won’t partake of anything but His joy.” Then I’d start speaking the Word and praising out loud. I went through three rugged days of resisting until those sorry spirits were gone.

What I’m telling you is this: You’re going to have to stand against grief and sorrow. It doesn’t belong to you. It’s not from your Heavenly Father. You may have to walk the floor all night long. But instead of worrying and crying, walk the floor and quote the Word until that heavy spirit leaves and the joy of the Lord comes.

Remember who you are. You’re the one who shall obtain gladness and joy. You’re the one sorrow and grief shall flee away from. You are the redeemed!

One who has isolated himself seeks his own desires; he rejects all sound judgment. Proverbs 18:1 (NET)

Pastor’s Commentary:

For just as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body – though many – are one body, so too is Christ. Now you are Christ’s body, and each of you is a member of it. 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27 (NET)

Do not give the devil an opportunity. Ephesians 4:27 (NET)

It is one thing to get alone with God in prayer and dedication, but another thing altogether to absent oneself from the community of faith. I have learned much over the years and observed many things. One of the first manifestations of backsliding and the loss of hope is self-imposed isolation. The scenario plays out like this: folks who normally are part of church functions such as prayer and fellowship, for example, suddenly seem aloof and solemn. They become loners. Such people seem to forget that we are the body of Christ and each of us has a role to play with one another.

The source of God’s power for the church is in Love, which is the perfect bond of unity. In other words, the dynamic miracle power of God is derived from oneness with Him and one another. When individual body parts stop functioning properly, the whole body is negatively affected.

Very often, believers who isolate themselves think that they are doing something noble, when in fact, they are falling prey to the adversary. Satan knows that if he can get someone isolated from the power of God, he can deceive and ultimately destroy that person. At a minimum, he knows he can affect the entire body by getting one or two people in selfishness and strife. Like a lion or other predators, the enemy knows he can devour loners and outsiders with little effort. At the same time, he knows he doesn’t stand a chance against the entire flock of God.

Should you ever have the desire to isolate yourself from the local body of disciples the Lord has assigned you to, understand immediately that the Holy Spirit is not at work. Even if your season is up at a specific church, the Lord will simply tell you; He’d never tell you to become standoffish.

I believe, as do many, that the finest hour for the Church of Jesus Christ is just ahead. Let’s make a concerted effort to love one another without ceasing, forgive each other no matter the offense, and to always walk in unity with one another. Each of us must examine our own hearts and motivations. We must resist the devil and the flesh and operate the way God has instructed us, as one. Let’s seek His will and not our own desires.

Wisdom is supreme – so acquire wisdom, and whatever you acquire, acquire understanding! Proverbs 4:7 (NET)

Pastor’s Commentary:

But to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. (1 Corinthians 1:24 NET)

There is nothing and nobody higher than Wisdom! Wisdom is not a set of concepts; He is a person, specifically Jesus Christ. Therefore, the New English Translation’s rendering of Proverbs 4:7 is accurate: wisdom is supreme! Glory to God!

My child, if you receive my words, and store up my commands within you, by making your ear attentive to Wisdom, and by turning your heart to understanding, indeed, if you call out for discernment – raise your voice for understanding – if you seek it like silver, and search for it like hidden treasure, then you will understand how to fear the Lord, and you will discover knowledge about God. Proverbs 2:1-5 (NET)

Pastor’s Commentary:

For the Lord gives Wisdom, and from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6 NET)

It is an indisputable fact that God is the Source of ALL authentic Wisdom. According to 1 Corinthians 1:30, Father God has made Jesus Christ Wisdom for us. The point I am making is this: God has done His part in reference to Wisdom. Now, we must do ours.

Today, in my humble opinion, there is an overfocus on God’s responsibility in the Covenant and an underappreciation of the role that each of us must play. Although Wisdom is readily available to all, each of us must do something to tap into the awesome benefits thereof.

Proverbs 2 begins with the process for obtaining the benefits of Wisdom:

1. We must receive the Word of God and store His commandments within us.

This is a conscious act of will on our part. We have make up our minds to receive the implanted Word of God and keep Him (the Word) within us.

2. We must make our ears attentive to God’s Word and turn our hearts to understanding.

In Scripture, Jesus uses a recurring phrase and theme. He says many times, “He who has an ear to hear, let him hear…” Once again, this is a conscious act of will. The only people who can hear the Voice of God, which is the Voice of Wisdom, are those who make a decision to hear Him. Hearing God is NEVER accidental; it’s always deliberate.

3. We must call out for, or place a demand on Wisdom.

James 1:5 says, “But if anyone is deficient in Wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.” In other words, to capitalize on Wisdom, one must call out for Him by asking in faith. Placing a demand on Wisdom when we are deficient in some way is paramount to receiving a timely and necessary word from God.

4. We must seek for Wisdom above all else.

God says in Jeremiah 29:13, “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Wisdom says, “I love those who love Me, and those who seek Me diligently will find Me.” (Proverbs 8:17 NKJV)

The casual search for Wisdom always results in frustration. Finding Wisdom requires focused, deliberate, and diligent seeking. To receive the fullness of Wisdom, we must seek for Him above all else.

God wants each and every one of us to succeed in life. That’s why He has made His Wisdom available to all. We must, in turn, do our part to receive His Word and live the victorious life He has always had in store for us.

If you don’t confess your sins, you will be a failure. But God will be merciful if you confess your sins and give them up. Proverbs 28:13 (CEV)

Pastor’s Commentary:

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1 John 2:1 (NKJV)

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)

The acknowledgement of sin and the scriptural disposition of it is really the difference between those who succeed and those who fail. Nothing else predicts the outcome in our lives quite like how we deal with sin.

This is an immutable fact: those who confess their sins and give them up receive the mercy and power of God. Those who make excuses for iniquity continually fall short of God’s best and flounder in life.

When you recognize sin in your life, remember that Jesus is your Advocate. Simply confess your sins and He is faithful and just to forgive your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

A curse you don’t deserve will take wings and fly away like a sparrow or a swallow. Proverbs 26:2 (CEV)

Pastor’s Commentary:

But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When He was hung on the cross, He took upon Himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” (Galatians 3:13 NLT)

According to today’s Wisdom verse, any curse you don’t deserve must must take wings and fly away from you. Praise God! Because of Christ Jesus, there’s no such thing as a deserved curse for the believer. Jesus became the curse for us at Calvary so that no aspect of the curse, in any way, shape or form, could legally attach itself to the New Testament Disciple.

If any manifestation of the curse of the law (see Deuteronomy 15-68 NLT) attempts to attach itself to you, tell satan to take it back in the Name of Jesus Christ and resist it based on the Word of the Living God. You are blessed beyond every curse! Say “Amen” to that.

For Another By Kenneth E. Hagin

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (3 John 1:4).

When a Spirit-filled relative of mine couldn’t seem to grasp certain important Bible truths, I prayed the Ephesian prayers for him every morning and night, inserting his name in the appropriate places:

“Lord, I’m praying this prayer for ‘Joe.’ God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give unto ‘Joe’ the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of ‘Joe’s’ understanding be enlightened; that ‘Joe’ may know what is the hope of His calling, and what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.”

And I continued on through both prayers. I prayed these prayers for him morning and night for ten days. Finally he wrote me, saying, “It’s amazing how things have opened up to me. I’m beginning to see what you’ve been talking about.” No human teacher had talked to him about spiritual matters.

People frequently want to know how to pray for friends and loved ones. Some people just pray, “God, bless them.” But God has already blessed them with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Eph. 1:3). They just don’t know it, so they can’t take advantage of it. Pray these Ephesian prayers for your friends and loved ones. Stay with it morning and night, and more frequently if you can.

Confession: (Pray the Ephesian prayers for someone you desire to walk in the truth.)

There are those who are clean in their own eyes but are not washed of their filth. Proverbs 30:12 (ESV)

Pastor’s Commentary:

And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:11 ESV)

That He [Christ] might sanctify her [the Church], having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, (Ephesians 5:26 ESV) Emphasis added

There are those who are clean in their own eyes but are not washed of their filth. True enough, but that’s not you! You were born from above and washed in the precious Blood of the Lamb.

Additionally, Christ Himself has cleansed you by the washing of water by His Word. You are special; you are clean; and you are holy! So, conduct yourself accordingly. For this is the will of God, your sanctification…God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. (1 Thessalonians 4:3b & 4:7 ESV)
