Those who know Your Name trust in You, for You, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for You. Psalm 9:10 (NLT)
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV)
Pastor’s Commentary:
Pursuit is proof of trust. In other words, we always pursue that which we deem as our trusted source. David understood that. In his toughest times during his long life, he always made the Lord the focus of his pursuit. He knew God would not let him down and He never did. And the Lord will never let us down either.
We must continually develop our trust (faith) in God and thereby make Him our one and only Source. Jesus instructed is to “…seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33 NKJV) God Almighty should be the first person we seek for provision and direction in life.

AMEN Pastor!
Trusting in God is vital to our spiritual lives!
If we only knew the amazing way that the Lord would open up to us if we would just open up to Him in belief. The more we trust in Him, the more He rewards us and reveals Himself to us.
When we doubt Him and don’t have faith, nothing ever happens but if you trust in God to come and make your life new…..be ready for Him to come in! It’s very exciting!
This is true!
Pay attention to who or what you go to first when you’re under pressure.
I have just recently started practicing taking note of this in my own life. It’s sad to say but in many areas I have found that I have not been acknowledging God Almighty as my one and only source at all. Matter of fact, I would even venture to say that He has been my last resort in most of these cases if not all of them.
I’m not the only one.
You say you believe God but not understanding that maybe you do believe Him – for your healing. But, what about your money situation? Who do you go to first with that? PayDay Loans? Capital One? American Express? A friend? And if you do go to Him first, do you stick with Him? Or does He take so long that you have to try another way? And if not that (a money issue), what about your lonliness issues? The telephone? Your bed? People?
But, there’s now no condemnation for those of us who are in Christ Jesus. So, I push my feelings of guilt and shame aside and apologize to Him wholeheartedly for having any other god before Him AND I change the way I think. I can’t just apologize. I’ve GOT to change the way I think about those things. I’ve got to make Him first. How do I make Him first? By making His Word first. He (the Word) and the Father are one. No man can get to the Father (THE Source) but through Him (The Word). I have to practice depending on His Word. Anything else will not do. God is the only one who can truly supply ALL of my needs and not get exhausted. He’s the only one who won’t run out of what I need. And He is the only one who is willing to give it to me freely (with no strings attached). Amen.
Isaiah 55:7, NASB
Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will ABUNDANTLY pardon.
